General Aoun,

I, Eblan Farris, US citizen was named in an article and in broadcasts today in the media you own, (Sawt Al-Ghad) and (Tayyar.org) with the fallacious and ridiculous allegation that I was part of a conspiracy to assassinate you while you were in Paris. I am demanding that your publications and broadcast (Tayyar.org and Sawt Al-Ghad), issue a retraction to this totally fabricated story immediately and without delay.

Anything less then a total retraction and its replacement in 24 hours with an apology will result in legal action against you in the United States, France and Lebanon. 

 I, Eblan Farris, have never been involved in, in any way, money, planning, directions, email’s or even speculation on any attempt on anyone in my entire life.

Your publications and broadcast by publishing these fallacious articles have contributed in libel against my name and incited to violence against me. I hold you responsible for any harm caused to me. 

Thus I ask you to publish this letter in the next issues and broadcasts according to Lebanese Laws. I, and the NGO I represent reserve to ourselves the rights to seize the appropriate courts in this matter in all countries where our interests have been damaged.

أنا، قبلان فارس ، مواطن امريكى وردَ اسمه في مقال وأُذيع في وسائل الاعلام التي تملكها. (صوت الغد- Sawt al-Ghad) وَ (tayyar.org) بمغالطات وتهم سخيفه بأنني كنت جزءاً من مؤامرة لاغتيالك حين كنت في باريس. انا أطالب بأن تبادر منشوراتكم واذاعتكم (tayyar.org وصوت الغدSawt al-Ghad  )، إعلان  سحب هذه القصة الملفقه تماماً، فورا ودون إبطاء.

أيُّ شيء أقل من سحبها كلياً واستبدالها خلال 24 ساعة مع الاعتذار، سيؤدي الى اتخاذ اجراءات قانونيه ضدكم في الولايات المتحدة وفرنسا ولبنان.

أنا، قبلان فارس، لم أشارك قط طوال حياتي، بأي شكل من الاشكال، مال، تخطيط، توجيهات، بريد الالكتروني او حتى التفكير في أية  محاولة إيذاء أيّ شخصٍ آخر.

 إن منشوراتكم وإذاعتكم ببثها هذه المغالطات ونشر موادها، ساهمت في التشهير ضد اسمي وحرضت على العنف ضدي. أنـا أُحملكم مسؤولية اي ضرر يتسبب لي.
وبالتالي اطلب منكم نشر هذه الرسالة في الأعداد المقبلة والإذاعة وفقا للقوانين اللبنانيه. أنـا، والمنظمات غير الحكوميه التي امثلها نحتفظ لانفسنا بالحقوق لاختيار المحاكم المناسبة لهذا الشأن في جميع البلدان التي تكون فيها مصالحنا قد تضررت.
